4X Diagnostics is highly skilled diagnostic measurement, signal analyst and technical training company with over 45 years of experience. Accomplished in vibration measurement and analysis, modal analysis, operational deflection shape testing, acoustics, torsional analysis, dynamic balancing, transient capture, on-line monitoring and product defect analysis. They are experienced in a wide range of industries and equipment. 4X Diagnostics provides diagnostic measurement and analysis, mentoring, modal analysis, operational deflection shape testing and modal/Operational Deflection Shape training.

CAT IV certified
Tony began his career in 1974 as a field machinist at the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. In 1977 he transitioned into Kodak’s Equipment Diagnostics Group and worked for twenty years a full time vibration analyst and group leader.
After leaving Kodak in 1998, Tony worked for Emerson Process Management, CSI Division as a senior consultant and training instructor. Tony received two service awards for outstanding performance while working for Emerson.
In July 2005, Tony left Emerson/CSI and started his own company, 4X Diagnostics. 4X Diagnostics provides diagnostic measurement and analysis, mentoring, modal analysis, operational deflection shape testing and modal/Operational Deflection Shape training.
Tony is a certified, Category IV vibration analyst.

CAT II Certified
AJ DeMatteo has 10+ years of advanced diagnostic measurement and analysis experience and is skilled in vibration data collection on rotating machinery, acceptance testing, resonance testing, precision balancing, floor vibration studies, route-based vibration programs, Operational Deflection Shape studies, Modal Analysis testing, noise measurements and Motion Amplification. He is proficient using CSI portable analyzers including the 2130, 2140 and online instruments including the 4500, 6500, XP-32 and 2600 and is uses Vibrant Technologies MEscope VES software for ODS and Modal testing/analysis.
AJ analyzes vibration data using CSI AMS Suite MHM software, writes reports, and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
AJ is a certified, Category II vibration analyst.

CAT III Certified
Matt Rubin has 10+ years of advanced diagnostic measurement and analysis experience and is skilled in vibration data collection on rotating machinery, acceptance testing, resonance testing, precision balancing, floor vibration studies, route-based vibration programs, Operational Deflection Shape studies, Modal Analysis testing, noise measurements and Motion Amplification. He is proficient using CSI portable analyzers, online instruments and AMS Suite Machine Health Manager to analyze data. He uses Vibrant Technologies MEscope VES software for ODS and Modal testing, modeling and analysis. He is an experienced Motion Amplification analyst and is proficient using RDI’s Iris M, MX and CM systems. Matt is a 4X Diagnostics training instructor and has provided numerous presentations at national conferences. Matt is also a Mobius Institute instructor and teaches onsite and public Category I, II, and III Vibration Analysis training courses in the US.
Matt is a certified, Category III vibration analyst.

Jen handles the day-to-day operations for 4X Diagnostics. She manages all new and existing accounts, is responsible for company receivables, payables, and schedules daily work for the company. Jen also assists with data entry and reporting using CSI AMS Suite MHM software.

Sean Hickey is a proven commercial leader in the reliability and predictive maintenance space, bringing more than 20 years of B2B sales experience and over a decade focused on condition monitoring technologies. As Senior Vice President of Sales at 4X Diagnostics, Sean oversees nationwide sales strategy, helping industrial and energy-sector clients improve asset performance through advanced diagnostic services, tools, and training.
Sean’s technical expertise spans route-based vibration programs, Motion Amplification, wireless monitoring, ODS and modal analysis, rotor balancing, acceptance testing, resonance and noise studies, turbine monitoring, and ultrasonic inspection. His background includes seven and a half years with RDI Technologies, where he successfully drove adoption of Motion Amplification systems, training, and services across the Northeast, as well as three years with CTC, covering the Southeast market selling industrial vibration analysis hardware.
Backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science from RIT and an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from MCC, Sean brings a strong analytical foundation, communication skillset, and customer-centric mindset to every engagement.
He is recognized for building long-term relationships rooted in integrity, transparency, and mutual success. By combining deep technical understanding with practical business acumen, Sean empowers clients to make strategic maintenance decisions that reduce downtime, optimize asset health, and deliver lasting operational value.
