Course Description:

This two-day course teaches students about measuring and analyzing time waveform data for predictive vibration programs and for solving difficult machine vibration problems. The course is a combination of lecture and demonstration covering all things related to time waveforms including:

  • Digital sampling

  • Amplitude units
  • Crest Factor
  • Symmetry, distortion, truncation, clipping
  • Auto-correlation
  • Amplitude modulation
  • Time averaging
  • Circular waveforms

He is accomplished in vibration measurement and analysis, modal analysis, operational deflection shape testing, acoustics, torsional analysis, dynamic balancing, transient capture, on-line monitoring and product defect analysis. He is experienced in a wide range of industries and equipment.
